Bleaching (professional whitening of teeth) in our dental practice in Munich Waldtrudering.
Are you unhappy with the colour of your teeth?
In our dental practice in Munich Waldtrudering you can have your teeth bleached / whitened. Increasingly patients are dissatisfied with their tooth colour or are bothered by yellowish colour or discolouration. Various bleaching procedures can be used to achieve a radiant white smile. We recommend so-called "office bleaching" to our current and future patients and "internal bleaching" for root-treated teeth.
Teeth whitening and bleaching in the dental practice: "Office Bleaching".
In our dental practice in Munich Waldtrudering we apply a special bleaching gel to the tooth surfaces and start the bleaching process with a UV lamp. After 2 to 3 passes, the result is immediately visible. Afterwards, a protective varnish (fluoride) is applied to restore a balance in the mineralization. This way the teeth are not exposed to any danger. With us by your side, we usually achieve the desired brightness in just one session on site.
"Internal bleaching" of discoloured root-treated teeth
In "internal bleaching", the dentist applies a special gel to the inside of the tooth. The tooth is then provisionally sealed, and the patient decides for themselves (within 3 days) when the colour of the tooth has changed to match the other teeth. Then the gel is removed, and the tooth is given a small filling. This usually leads to a high level of patient satisfaction.
Bleaching costs
Tooth whitening / bleaching is a purely cosmetic procedure. Consequently, the costs are not covered by the statutory health insurance.
We will be happy to discuss the bleaching procedure (teeth whitening) and the estimated costs with you in advance.
Information about smokers' toothpastes
The advertising promises smokers bright white teeth again if they use the appropriate special toothpastes. The industry adds more cleaning and abrasive particles to these toothpastes. The result is that the tooth surface is "sanded" more when brushing.
This leads to the removal of discolouration on the surface, but with regular use, the tooth surface naturally becomes thinner as a result. Prolonged use can lead to sensitivity to cold/hot as well as to tooth neck defects.
We therefore clearly advise against using smoker's toothpastes. Professional tooth cleaning as part of prophylaxis is much more risk-free, efficient and gentle.
